ITALIAN SWISS STEAK 
1 lb. lean round steak
1/2 c. water
1 med. onion
1 green pepper
2 sm. tomatoes, cut in wedges
1/4 lb. fresh mushrooms
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. parsley
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
1/2 tsp. black pepper
2 c. whole wheat pasta, cooked

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown steak in a non-stick skillet, add water. Place steak and water into a roasting pan. Top with onion, green pepper, tomatoes and mushrooms. Sprinkle basil, oregano, parsley, salt and pepper over the top. Cover and bake for 1 1/2 hours. Serve over whole wheat pasta noodles.
