RICH COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Then flour and vanilla. Drop from tip of teaspoon onto greased tin about 2 inches apart. Spread thinly with knife dipped in cold water. Decorate with small bit of citron.
