OYSTER STEW 
4 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. finely grated onion
1 pt. oysters with liquid
2 c. half & half
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. white pepper

In a double boiler, saute onions in 3 tablespoons butter until soft, add remaining ingredients except half & half until the edge of the oysters start to curl. Add half & half and cook slowly until soup is hot and oysters are floating. Do NOT allow the stew to boil.
