APPLE DUMPLINGS 
5 medium tart apples, peeled and quartered
1 can Pillsbury biscuits
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
2 c. water
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tsp. apple pie spice mix or pumpkin pie spice mix

Roll biscuits until thin (about the size of a saucer). Cut in half. Using 1/4 of apple, roll in biscuit half. Place in baking dish, cut side down, close but not touching. Mix together in pan the sugar, butter, water, lemon juice and apple pie spice or pumpkin pie spice mix. Boil for 3 minutes. Pour over dumplings and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
