M & M COOKIES 
2/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. butter, softened
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 1/2 c. plain M&M or peanut M&M candies

Blend shortening, butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Stir in 1 cup or more; put remaining candies on top of cookies. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes until golden brown. Some cracking should occur. About 72 cookies.
