CHILI PONE PIE 
1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1 c. chopped yellow onion
1 pkt. (1 1/4 oz.) taco seasoning
1 can (15 oz.) chili without beans
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
4 oz. Cheddar cheese (shredded 1 cup)
1 pkg. (12 oz.) corn muffin mix
1 lg. egg

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Have a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish ready. In a large skillet, stir beef and onion over medium high heat until meat loses its pink color and onion turns translucent. Discard drippings. Stir in taco seasoning mix, chili and tomato sauce, simmer until heated through about 5 minutes. Spread evenly in baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese. Stir corn muffin mix, milk and egg in bowl just until blended. Drop by heaping spoonfuls on top of meat mixture. Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 6 main dish servings.
