1 c. sugar
1 c. mayonnaise
1 c. cold water
1 1/2 tbsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream together sugar and mayonnaise. Put soda into water. Beat together water with soda, flour, salt, cocoa, and vanilla. Beat all together. Bake in 350 degree oven for 40 minutes. Very moist. Frost or sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
