BAKER'S CHOCOLATE FUDGE BARS 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter
1 1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. uncooked oats (quick or old fashioned)
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2/3 c. sweetened condensed milk
1 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Mix flour and baking soda. Cream 1 cup butter and the sugar. Beat in eggs and 1 teaspoon of the vanilla. Mix in flour mixture and oats. Set aside 1 1/2 cups mixture. Press remainder into bottom of greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Melt 1 cup of chocolate chips with the milk and 1 tablespoon butter, stirring until smooth. Stir in remaining vanilla and 3/4 cup of the nuts. Spread over oat layer. Dot with remaining oat mixture. Sprinkle with remaining nuts and chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Cool in pan. Cut into bars. Makes about 3 dozen.
