CABBAGE SOUP 
1 med. cabbage, shredded
1 qt. V-8 juice
1 qt. water
1 green pepper, chopped
1/2 stalk celery, chopped
2 lg. onions, sliced thick rings
2 cans carrots or use fresh
1 can string beans (optional)
3 beef or chicken bouillon cubes
Salt
Pepper

Mix all ingredients in large pot. Cook until tender approximately 1 hour. Can add chicken or beef if desired.
