COUNTRY CABBAGE PATCH SOUP 
3 c. finely chopped cabbage
1/2 lb. finely diced bacon
3/4 c. finely chopped onions
4 c. chicken broth
1/2 c. finely diced carrots
1 1/3 c. finely diced raw potatoes
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. white wine vinegar
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. cream or whole milk
Fresh dill

Brown bacon. Add onions and cook until wilted. Sprinkle flour and stir in with chicken broth to bacon mix. Simmer. Add everything else. Cook, stirring often, 30 minutes. Before serving, add 1 1/2 cups cream or whole milk, heating through. A sprinkle of fresh dill is a nice garnish.

I have made this soup several times and it is delish. I like thyme so I do subs. it for the dill. Making it again right now. ;)
