CANDIED FRUIT DROPS 
1 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (8 oz.) dates, chopped
1 c. chopped green candied pineapple
1 c. chopped red candied cherries
1 1/2 c. pecans, chopped

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg; blend well. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. Add flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in dates, fruit and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool 1 minute; remove from sheets. Makes 7 dozen cookies.
