OLD FASHIONED POUND CAKE 
1 c. soft butter
1 2/3 c. sugar
5 eggs
Pinch of salt
2 c. cake flour
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar until dissolved. Add unbeaten eggs one at a time. Beat thoroughly. Add flour, salt and vanilla. Mix well. Bake at 325 degrees about 50 to 60 minutes.
