OATMEAL CARAMEL BARS 
32 caramels
1 c. flour
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. butter
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. rolled oats

Melt caramels in microwave with 2 tablespoons water. Cool slightly. Combine other ingredients together except for caramels, chips and nuts. Press half of mixture into 8x8 inch pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

Top with chocolate chips, nuts and caramels. Sprinkle remaining mixture on top and bake 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees. Chill 1-2 hours before cutting.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
