LUSCIOUS APRICOT BARS 
2/3 c. dried apricots
1/2 c. soft butter
1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Confectioners' sugar

Cover apricots with water, cook 10 minutes; drain and chop. Grease 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan. Mix butter, sugar and 1 cup flour until crumbly. Pack into pan. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees.

Sift 1/3 cup of flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually beat eggs into brown sugar, then add flour mixture, vanilla, nuts and apricots. Spread in pan over layer. Bake 30 minutes. Cool, cut into bars. Roll in confectioners' sugar.
