LEMON DESSERT SAUCE 
1/2 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. cornstarch
1 c. water
1/3 c. lemon juice
1 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/8 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
1 tbsp. butter

Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt in a 4 cup glass measure; add water and stir until sugar dissolves.

Microwave at HIGH for 2 minutes; stir well. Microwave at HIGH for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes, stirring at 1 minute intervals until clear, thickened and bubbly. Stir in lemon rind, lemon juice and butter.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
