YELLOW CHIFFON CAKE | |
2 eggs, separated 1 1/2 c. sugar 2 1/4 c. cake flour 3 tsp. baking powder 1/3 c. oil 1 c. skim milk 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla Beat egg whites until frothy. Add 1/2 cup sugar, beat until stiff. In another bowl, put in flour, remaining sugar, and baking powder. Add half of milk and vanilla. Heat 1 minute on medium speed. Scrape bowl and sides. Add remaining milk and egg yolks; beat 1 minute more. Fold in egg yolks gently. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes in greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. |
