3/4 c. butter (no butter)
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Cream butter and sugar, beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients. Mix the nuts and chocolate chips. Shape in 1 inch balls. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Roll in confectioner's sugar.

Makes 3 dozen.
