AUNT ROSE'S PIZZELLE 
14 eggs
2 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. melted Crisco
3 1/2 lb. flour
2 tbsp. anise seeds
2 tbsp. vanilla
1/4 c. whiskey

Beat eggs. Add sugar and beat for a while. Add melted Crisco, seeds, vanilla and whiskey. Add flour, a cup at a time, until batter is too stiff for mixer. Place remaining flour on board and turn out batter onto flour. Knead until you have a medium dough. Cut into 1 inch squares and cook on top of stove in a pizzelle iron until light brown.
