MARYBELLE PECHIN'S RED DEVILS
FOOD CAKE
 
2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. sour cream
1/2 c. cocoa
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. boiling water

Combine all the ingredients in mixing bowl except the boiling water. Mix thoroughly. Add boiling water and mix. Pour into 2 (8") cake pans that have been greased and floured. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
