BRUNCH PUFF 
1 lb. bacon
2 1/2 onions, diced
12 slices white bread
3/4 lb. Swiss cheese
8 eggs
3 1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Fry bacon. Saute diced onions in bacon grease and drain. Reserve a few tablespoons of drippings. Crumble bacon and set aside. Remove crust from bread. Grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Place a layer of bread on bottom of pan. Top with 1/2 bacon, 1/2 cheese, 1/2 onions, and 1/2 the reserved bacon drippings. Repeat with another layer of bread and ingredients. Beat the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Pour over bread. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
