CARAMEL LAYER CHOCOLATE SQUARES 
1 pkg. light caramels (14 oz.)
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. butter, melted
1 pkg. chocolate chips (12 oz.)
13x9 inch greased and floured pan

In saucepan, combine caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk; heat on low temperature, stir until melted. Set aside.

In large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, melted butter and 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Mix until moistened. Press 1/2 of batter on bottom of cake pan. Bake 6 minutes at 350 degrees.

Remove from oven, sprinkle chocolate chips over baked crust, drizzle caramel mix over, then drop remaining cake batter over top. Bake 15- 18 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool and cut into bars.
