MELT-IN-YOUR-MOUTH SAUSAGES 
2 lbs. Italian sausage (sweet, mild or hot)
48 oz. spaghetti sauce
6 oz. can tomato paste
1 lg. green pepper, sliced thinly
1 lg. onion, sliced thinly
1 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp. parsley flakes
1 c. water

Place sausage in skillet, cover with water; simmer 10 minutes; drain.

Meanwhile, place spaghetti sauce, tomato paste, green pepper, onion, cheese, parsley and water in slow cooker. Add drained sausage (cut in hot dog lengths if using sweet sausage as it's shaped in large coil). Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.

Increase temperature to high and cook 1 hour longer. Serve in buns or cut sausage into bite sized slices and serve over cooked spaghetti. Serves 8.
