1/2 c. butter
1 c. light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. walnuts
1 tsp. baking powder

Cream butter; add sugar, vanilla and egg. Add dry ingredients and nuts. Dorp by scant teaspoons on cookie sheet. Bake in hot 400 degree oven for 5 minutes. Cool for 1/2 minutes and remove to wire racks.
