CHERRY CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter (butter), softened
1/3 c. white sugar
1/3 c. light brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. flaked coconut
1 pkg. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. nuts (chopped)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

In medium bowl mix flour, soda, salt.

In large bowl with mixer at slow speed, cream butter (oleo) and sugars. Add egg, vanilla; beat until well blended.

Add flour mixture, beat until well blended. Stir in coconut, chocolate chips and nuts.

Drop by tablespoon 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes until lightly browned. Remove to wire rack to cool. Store in tightly covered container. Yield 2 1/2 dozen. Calories 115.
