APPLE-GRAHAM SOUFFLE | |
1 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 3 tbsp. butter, melted 3 egg yolks 15 oz. sweetened condensed milk 2 tbsp. lemon juice 1 tbsp. lemon peel 1 can applesauce 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 3 egg whites, stiffly beaten Combine crumbs, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and butter; spread 1/2 in bottom of 8 inch square pan. Beat egg yolks until thick; add milk, juice, peel, applesauce, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and nutmeg. Fold in egg whites; pour into prepared pan; sprinkle remaining crumbs over top. Bake at 350 degrees F. 50 minutes or until set. Cool thoroughly before serving. Yield: 9-12 servings. |
