CARAMEL LOAF | |
2 loaves frozen bread dough, thawed 1/2 c. butter 1 c. packed brown sugar 1 lg. box reg. vanilla pudding (or 2 sm.) (not instant pudding) 2 tbsp. milk or half & half 1/2 tsp. cinnamon Nuts or raisins, optional Grease 9 x 13 inch pan. Tear one thawed loaf of bread dough into small pieces and drop into pan, trying to cover entire pan. In medium saucepan, melt butter. Add remaining ingredients and cook until melted and smooth. Pour over torn bread pieces. Tear second loaf into small pieces and place over butter mixture trying to even out the pan. (This will prevent humps in the center of your loaf.) Cover and let rise about 2 hours. Bake in preheated oven, 375 degrees, for 30 minutes. Allow to cool in pan for about 15 minutes before turning onto serving plate. Nuts and/or raisins may be added as a topping. Best when eaten warm. Yum! Yum! |
