3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
3/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. peanut butter
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 c. M & M peanut chocolate candies

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat sugars, shortening, peanut butter and eggs until smooth. Stir in flour, baking soda and baking powder. Reserve 1 1/2 cups. Press remaining dough in 9"x13" pan. Mix reserve dough with candies. Crumble into pan, pressing lightly. Bake until golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes. Cool. cut into 2" x 1 1/2" bars. Makes 36 bars.
