1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. light brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
1 med. egg
1 1/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. chopped M&M'S® plain chocolate candies

Beat together sugars, shortening, peanut butter and egg until smooth. Stir in flour, baking soda and powder. Reserve 1 cup. Press remaining dough into 12"x8"x2" baking pan. Combine reserved 1 cup dough with M&M'S® plain chocolate candies. Crumble into baking pan, pressing in slightly. Bake at 325 degrees for about 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool thoroughly; cut into bars. Makes 1 (12"x8"x2") pan of bars.
