BLUEBERRY CRISP | |
4 c. fresh blueberries, or 2 (15 oz.) cans, drained 1/3 c. water or syrup from cans 2 tsp. lemon juice 4 tbsp. butter 1/3 c. brown sugar 1/3 c. unbleached white flour 3/4 c. uncooked oatmeal Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Prepare and pick over berries, place in baking dish, 8 x 10 or 8 x 8 inch square. Pour in water or syrup and lemon juice and stir well. In mixing bowl, cream sugar and butter. Combine flour and oatmeal and add together to butter and sugar mixture. Mix well until evenly colored and crumbly. Sprinkle oatmeal mixture over berries and bake 40 minutes or until browned. |
