BLACK WALNUT APPLE CAKE 
3 eggs
1 1/4 c. oil
2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. self rising flour
3 med. apples, peeled, cored and chopped
1 c. walnuts, chopped

Grease and flour tube pan and preheat oven to 350 degrees. Blend eggs, oil and sugar until creamy. Add flour and blend well. Fold in apples and nuts. Bake 1 hour.

TOPPING:

1/2 stick butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. milk
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Boil for 3 minutes and pour over cake while hot. (English walnuts may be used.)
