BANANA SPICE CAKE 
1/4 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 c. flour (plain)
3 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
1 c. Wesson oil
1 1/2 c. raisins
6 bananas (well ripened)
1 c. chopped nuts

Mix all ingredients well. Mash bananas and add to batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Bake in 3 layers. Frost with your favorite caramel icing.

CARAMEL FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
1 stick butter, softened to room temperature
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Heat first 4 ingredients until dissolved. Bring to a rolling boil and boil for 1 minute. Set off heat; add vanilla and beat until right consistency to spread. If it becomes too thick for spreading, add small amount of milk, being careful not to add too much at a time.
