1 1/2 lbs. (6 sticks) butter 1 1/2 lbs. 10 x. (6 c.) sugar 9 eggs, room temp. 4 1/2 c. cake flour, soft as silk 2 1/2 tsp. vanilla Cream softened butter. Add sugar, 3 parts, mix well. Add egg at room temperature. Mix well, 3 at a time. Add flour in 3 parts, mix well. Add vanilla. Bake in tube pan at 325 degrees. Preheated oven about 1 1/4 hours until toothpick comes out clean. In greased and floured pan. Cool in pan for 1 hour. |
