MONTEREY CHEESE BREAD 
1 loaf French bread
2 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1/4 c. butter
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
4 oz. can chopped green chilies
1 lg. tomato (seeded and diced)

Slice bread in half lengthwise. Combine cheese, butter and garlic powder until blended. Spread mixture evenly over bread. Top with chiles and tomatoes. Press down. Bake in 400 degree oven on ungreased sheet for 7 to 10 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
