GRACE KING'S BREAD 
3/4 lb. sharp cheddar, grated
1 sm. can sliced olives
1 sm. can Ortega chilies, chopped
2 tbsp. wine vinegar
2 green onions, chopped
1 sm. can tomato paste
4 strips bacon, crisped and crumbled
1/3 c. olive oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed

Mix together and make paste. Spread on thin slices French bread. Use long thin loaves. Broil until it bubbles. May be made ahead and frozen. Broil after thawing.
