1 c. butter
1 c. vegetable shortening
4 c. granulated sugar
6 egg yolks
1 whole egg
3 tsp. vanilla extract
2 tsp. almond extract
7 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. buttermilk

Mix ingredients together in large bowl in order that they are listed. Use tablespoon to drop batter onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Do not over bake. Makes soft, old - fashioned cookies.
