1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. grated apples
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. mace
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream sugar and butter. Add egg, mix. Add dry ingredients and mix. Add apples, raisins and nuts. Pour into greased loaf pan with bottom lined with wax paper. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or more until done.
