HAMBURGER PIE 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
16 oz. can cut green beans, drained
10 3/4 oz. can tomato soup
5 med. potatoes, cooked
1/2 c. warm milk
1 beaten egg
1/2 c. processed American cheese, shred

In large skillet, cook meat and onion until meat is lightly browned and onion is tender. Drain off excess grease. Add salt, pepper, beans and soup. Pour into greased 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Mash potatoes while hot, add milk and egg to potatoes. Season with salt and pepper. Spoon in mounds over casserole. Sprinkle potatoes with cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. May use 4 servings package of instant mashed potatoes prepared according to makes package directions except reserve the milk. Add egg and season with salt and pepper to taste. Add enough reserved milk so potatoes are stiff enough to hold shape. Makes 4-6 servings.
