SOFT PRETZELS 
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
4 c. flour
1 egg, beaten
Coarse salt

Soften yeast in 1 1/2 cup warm water in large mixing bowl; add salt and sugar; mix in flour with hands; knead to form soft dough. Do not allow dough to rise. Cut immediately into small pieces. Shape into sticks, nuggets or pretzel shapes. Cover cookie sheet with foil; dust with flour. Place pretzels on sheet, brush with beaten egg; sprinkle with course salt. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 15 minutes.
