CHOCOLATE FUDGE SAUCE | |
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can evaporated milk 2 c. sugar 4 oz. unsweetened chocolate 1/3 c. butter 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional) Combine milk and sugar, bring to rolling boil, stirring constantly. Boil 1 full minute at a hard boil while stirring. Add chocolate, stirring until it is melted, then beat it with whisk over the heat until it is smooth. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients except nuts which are to be sprinkled over the sauce when it is served. If it looks curdled as it cools, just beat it with a spoon or whisk until smooth. It actually makes it thicker and better. Delicious over ice cream. |
