YAM PUDDING 
3 1/2 c. uncooked yams or sweet potatoes
1 1/4 c. milk
1/2 c. light corn syrup
3 eggs, beaten
2 tbsp. butter, softened
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Cream or ice cream

Heat oven to 325 degrees. Grease 8 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish. Mix all ingredients except cream; pour into dish. Bake until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean, about 1 hour. Serve with cream.
