MEAT CABBAGE ROLL | |
1 med. size cabbage 1 can tomatoes 1 lg. onion 1 c. raw rice 1 lb. ground beef 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 tsp. salt Wilt cabbage in boiling water. Pull leaves apart. Mix all the ingredients together, and roll a handful in each leaf. Pack in Dutch oven on a rack. Cover with boiling water. Cook 2 hours on a low fire, or, precook the rice, roll as usual, pack in pressure cooker (4 quart), add 1/2 cup hot water. Cook 10 minutes. |
