PEAR WALNUT COFFEE CAKE 
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder & soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sour cream
1 lg. pear (1 1/2 c.), diced

Cream butter and sugar. Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream. Stir in pears. Use an 8 inch square pan.

STREUSEL TOPPING:

1/2 c. brown sugar
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. walnuts

Sprinkle on top before baking. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
