APPLE BUTTER (CROCK POT) 
7 lbs. mixed varieties cooking apples
3 c. apple cider
Light brown sugar
Granulated sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground cloves

Core and quarter apples. Cook with apple cider until apples are tender. Put through a food mill. Measure sauce. For first 2 cups of sauce add 1 cup of light brown sugar. For each cup remaining add 1/2 cup granulated sugar. Add cinnamon and cloves. Cook on low in crock pot for 24 hours, stirring occasionally. For last hour remove cover from crock pot and put on high. 6 pints.
