CHERRY SHORTCAKE 
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 qt. tart cherries, pitted and drained
1 tsp. vanilla
Sm. amount of milk

Combine beaten eggs, sugar and vanilla. Stir well. Add flour, salt and baking powder. Mix, adding just enough milk to make a stiff batter. Fold in cherries. Pour into a 9x13 inch greased pan. Sprinkle sugar over top of dough. Bake in 350 degree oven for 35-40 minutes.
