GLAZED NUTS 
2 c. pecan halves
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Walnuts or cashews may be substituted.

In a skillet, combine nuts, sugar and butter. Cook over medium heat stirring to prevent burning. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until sugar melts and turns brown. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla. Spread nut mixture onto cookie sheet. Cool, break up mixture into clusters. Store in airtight container. Yield 2 cups.
