TURTLE CAKE 
1 pkg. German chocolate or Swiss cake
14 oz. bag caramels
1 stick butter
1 can Eagle Brand milk
12 oz. bag chocolate chips
6 oz. chopped walnuts

Prepare cake according to directions. Pour 1/2 batter into 9x13 pan and bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees F. Melt caramels and butter together. Blend and stir in milk; mix well. Pour over cake. Pour in remaining batter. Top with chocolate chips and nuts. Bake 25-30 minutes. Serve with ice cream or Cool Whip.
