MARTHA WASHINGTON CANDY | |
1 c. melted butter 1 can sweetened condensed milk 2 1/2 boxed powdered sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 3 c. ground pecans 1/8 lb. paraffin 16 oz. chocolate chips Mix first 4 ingredients in a large bowl, then add pecans. Shape into small balls and chill for several hours. Melt paraffin and chocolate chips in double boiler. Dip each ball into mixture. Place on waxed paper. Keep mixture hot while dipping. Yields about 100 pieces. Substitutions: Use coconut instead of pecans. Use peppermint flavoring. Use candied cherries or drained cherries. |
