STUFFED ACORN SQUASH 
2 med. acorn squash
Water
3/4 to 1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion
1/4 lb. Muenster cheese, shredded
1/4 c. ketchup
4 oz. can mushrooms
1/2 tsp. sugar
Garlic powder
Pepper

Cut squash in 1/2; clean. Place squash, cut side up in large skillet. Add about 1/2 inch water in skillet. Over high heat bring water to boil. Reduce heat to medium. Cook until fork tender.

Brown hamburger and onion; drain. Stir in cheese, mushrooms, ketchup, sugar, pepper and garlic and 1 tablespoon water. Drain moisture from squash. Spoon meat mixture into halves and serve.
