LAYERED LETTUCE 
1/2 med. head iceberg lettuce, washed and torn into bite size pieces
1/2 c. chopped celery
1 green pepper, chopped
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, defrosted (not cooked)
1/2 med. red onion, finely chopped
1 c. mayonnaise
1/4 c. salad oil
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
8 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
Croutons as garnish, if desired

In a 9x13 inch casserole dish, layer first lettuce, then celery, then green pepper, then peas, then onion.

In medium bowl, mix together mayonnaise, salad oil, sugar and Parmesan cheese. Gradually spread over layered ingredients. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese and bacon on top.

Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate 24 hours. Serve untossed, garnished with croutons. Serves 6-8.
