BEST EVER BAKED BEANS 
3 strips bacon, chopped in bits
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 (16 oz.) can pork and beans
1 sm. onion
1 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. catsup
1/4 tsp. ground ginger (optional)

Fry bacon. When half done, add onion and finish cooking. Drain grease, add all other ingredients. Simmer at least 30 minutes. Adding ground ginger is said to lessen the usual effect of eating beans! DON'T taste the beans until they have simmered at least 15 minutes--the flavors need to simmer and blend.
